And while there are many Fire Emblem fans who hate FE8, I like it. I think it is a good starting point for new players to the series but has a good number of references to FE2.
Wow that's an interesting one to start on, any reason in particular? That game is hard!
Yeah I've read a bunch of reasons for hating FE8, but those reasons don't hold water for me. Yeah it's probably easier than other entries, but it was perfect for my first FE game. Even then, I still had to restart a number of times... recruiting Marisa was especially frustrating. It also had appealing characters across the board. Some were pretty quirky and supports were really entertaining. Maybe part of it is that it was my first, but it had a higher proportion of characters I'm attached to than any other game.
What kind of references?? Man, you continue to pique my interest regarding FE2!! You are the first person I've talked to who has ever mentioned 2!
To be perfectly honest with you, at one point I had little interest in FE2 as well. but then I watched a LP of the game by Seph1212 and that is what got me to try it for myself.
The only one I'll give away is that there is a reason the Zombie's attack is a bit slow.
