For 's contest: this is her character Izka-chan dressed as a princess.

I think I might be late, since the contest was already closed. But the deadline was June 24 and I completely forgot about the time zone difference, so I just went according to my North American time, by which it's on time.
I really hope you'll still accept it because I did put a lot of work into it. If you look through my gallery, you can see that I've literally never drawn so many details and folds in my life. I only found out about the contest two days ago and yesterday my family suddenly decided to spend the day out so I had no time to draw.

Anyway, I wish you happy birthday nonetheless!

Onto the drawing itself:

I can finally relate to people who condemn their scanners for killing the colors. Ok my scanner in the past wasn't very good either, but I thought that if I colored dark enough, it wouldn't be affected too much. Well I certainly pressed hard enough this time, but all the colors got kind of muddy after scanning not to mention much lighter. Next, forgive my tactless abuse of photoshop brushes >.<! I wanted to just paste a photo in the background but then making the background transparent would take too much time XP Besides, this hides some of the hideous folds of the dress. I forgot to add more butterflies T.T
